Category II: Service Awards

These awards recognize both service and training in keeping with the ideals and goals of the STARFLEET Medical Corps.

 

Surgeon General’s Medal – Assistant Surgeon General Ribbon

The Surgeons General Medal is awarded to anyone serving as Assistant Surgeon General (ASG) with distinction: 1yr; 3yrs; and 5yrs of service as ASG (multiple, as earned).

 

Bronze Lifesaving Award – Chief Medical Officer Ribbon

The Bronze Lifesaving Medal is awarded to any person in Starfleet who serves as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of a chapter with distinction: 1yr; 3yrs; and 5yrs of service as CMO (multiple, as earned).

The Assistant Surgeon General’s in each Region should help identify Chief Medical Officer’s in their assigned Region who meet the criteria.

 

“COMMODORE Joseph Gallagher,  STARFLEET Medical Corps” Service Ribbon

All members of the STARFLEET Medical Corps are awarded a Service Ribbon after, at least, three months of service to the Medical Corps.

This is done in recognition of the member’s commitment to helping the STARFLEET Medical Corps achieve its general purpose as described in the Medical Command Staff Manual.

The Service Ribbon is an outward sign that all members of the STARFLEET Medical Corps are peers with each other in the service of the health and well-being of STARFLEET Members and community.

 

BOCP – Chief Medical Officer

For passing the STARFLEET Academy’s Bridge Officers Certification Program for Chief Medical Officer.  And, beginning January 2015, prior completion of STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Commendation, Level I.

BOCP – Chief Counselor

For passing the STARFLEET Academy’s Bridge Officers Certification Program for Chief Counselor.  And, beginning January 2015, prior completion of STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Commendation, Level I.

Training Commendation Level II

Prior completion of STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Commendation, Level I*

Plus passing the following series of examinations from STARFLEET Academy

Any two online, Public Health Training course (evidence from any source)

2 additional SFA: COM EMS courses (or related) and not including those listed for the Level I Ribbon.

 

Hazardous Material Training Commendation, Level I Ribbon

Prior completion of STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Commendation, Level I* and passing the following series of examinations from STARFLEET Academy.

Any 2 Haz-Mat courses CFRS-H-105a thru CFRS-H-110 from the College of Firefighting and Rescue Studies

Any 1 course from Fire Rescue Studies [basic]).

 

Hazardous Material Training Commendation, Level II Ribbon

Haz Mat Training Commendation Level II

Prior completion of STARFLEET Medical Corps Training Commendation, Level I* and passing the following series of examinations from STARFLEET Academy.

Any 2 Haz-Mat courses CFRS-H-101 thru CFRS-H-104h from the College of Firefighting and Rescue Studies

Any 1 course from Firefighting and Rescue Technology
